From Harlingen we set sail to Vlieland. The next day we cross the North Sea to Whitby which takes about 40 hours. You will take your turn on watch during the crossing. We have also time to go deeper into various aspects of sailing, such as the theory of navigation. Sharing watches and navigating at high sea make this trip an unforgettable experience.
From Whitby, an old English seaside resort, we hoist the sails of the Pride of mother Sea and visit the old lightship of Blyth, where we can drink a pint .
.
Along the English coast we visit the Farne-Isles which is a famous nature reserve.
Holy Island is a very special place only accessible at low tide, twice daily, by a three mile long causeway, built in 1954.As well as its many historic attractions, Holy Island is situated at the heart of the Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve. Extensive dunelands, intertidal sand and mud flats, saltmarsh and ancient raised beaches support a wide variety of plant life and attract vast numbers of birds
After leaving the Jewel of the Northumberland Coast we set sail to Scotland. The places along the coast don’t have any secrets anymore when we sail to the town of Inverness.
From here we sail the Great Glenn and visit Loch Ness before we
reach the west coast of Scotland. Oban is our final destination of
this trip.
All prices are in Euro per Person and are included port dues, diesel costs and excellent meals made by skipper/cook Eric.
